Packing some serious wow factor, this striking rooftop garden is the ultimate entertainer’s space. Perched on top of a 10-storey apartment block in the heart of the Docklands, this garden was designed to take you on a journey, with surprises at each turn; a whimsical, almost Alice in Wonderland-esque aesthetic.

With panoramic views and the roar of the Etihad crowd ringing in their ears, our clients were seeking a garden that was as unique as it was functional. A refuge from the hectic pace of city life.

The location presented challenges and complexities. To allow access to window cleaning hooks, it was designed from the middle out, to provide a 2.5m boundary space, whilst our team transported the materials to the penthouse, via the lift! Our timber and powder coated steel screens provide relief from the winds, and plants were chosen to suit the harsh rooftop environment.

The repetition of circles and squares set at varying levels, compose the design, but also evoke some theater to the space. Echoing an interior lounge, abundant custom timber seating, and outdoor cushions were essential. Whilst the bold colour palette ensures the garden pops against the grey cityscape. Testament that the sky really is the limit to innovative design.
