BUNINYONG
HENDRICK'S HOUSE
Hendrick’s House, recognised for its historical significance, rebuilt for Buninyong’s community, serves as a gathering place promoting connection and collaboration. Our design approach embodies this vision by incorporating a private courtyard featuring a Chinese-inspired moon gate, which symbolises welcome and homecoming.
The outdoor space includes a commercial BBQ area enhanced with custom shelving and table; a curved decking seat surrounds a stone paved conversation zone offering ample seating to host a crowd. The courtyard also presents ‘The Garden of the Little Wattlebird,’ a limited-edition
laser-cut artwork depicting the dynamic flight of the Australian Wattlebird, celebrating Hendrick’s House as a space where the community comes together.
