Nestled amidst coastal scrub, Horizon offers expansive, uninterrupted views of the ocean and surrounding bush land. The property is the product of award-winning architects Crosier Scott, with interiors curated by Carmen Grant Interiors, and construction by BCM Homes.  The property has won several awards, including the coveted 2024 HIA-CSR Australian Home of the Year.​ Though not your average rooftop garden due to its flame zone fire rating, the cantilevered rooftop features a green roof with mass plantings of native grasses and succulents, resulting in the perfect balance of form and function.

Responding to the challenge of a severely sloping site, the design solution for this garden takes advantage of existing fall and the borrowed coastal landscape. Tiered coreten steel embankments with native plantings embody this style of relaxed coastal gardens. Whilst the large, robust basalt steppers curiously lead you down on a journey to a firepit, to gather and re-connect away from devices and distractions, and to soak up those life affirming ocean views. Horizon showcases the collaborative expertise of its client, design, and construction team.
